The many types of buildings...​

Buildings come in many orders and magnitudes. Some ways that we can classify components of the built environment include the typologies that describe what makes a house, a church, school, and every other use; but we can also categorize our buildings by styles, a deconstructivist house shares little with a Victorian house save its function. We can even organize buildings based on nothing but their size such as McMansions vs. Micro-Homes.

 

This playlist will identify and describe the many categories of buildings in the world one type at a time, laying out the history of each, why they are the way they are, and what people should know about them.
